Party

Tonight was Contessa's 2nd birthday party! She was a little apprehensive about Henry today. But when we first arrived, she said 'Henry's here! Henry's here!'

Henry was quite awake and alert this evening during the party. We have realized that he loves being outside (that's my boy!). He loves looking around and enjoying nature. Something sure caught his eye in this shot.

And one final picture... Henry has started losing some of his birth hair. Almost all of it is gone on the top of his head, but it still remains on the sides and back. It might be hard to tell in this picture, but it's still super cute :)

Tummy Time

We've been really impressed with how strong Henry is. He was able to hold his head up on his own in the first few days (not prolonged, but still). The newest development is his ability to breakdance. As you can see in the next picture, he's already mastered 'the worm'!

All the dancing wore him out, so we went up to his crib - which he's only been in once before. I particularly enjoyed the sleeping position he chose.

Baseball

Two posts in one day! Tonight we went to a Peoria Chief's baseball game with a group from Accenture. Turns out the Chief's have about as pathetic an offense as the Cubs! When we left, it was 6-0 in the 6th inning. Here's Henry having a great time at the game.

Hold the Phone

Wow, it's been a few days since the last post. Dad had a yoga training all last weekend so not many pictures were taken. Anyway, here we go!

Sometimes I like to make Henry do some funny things. Sometimes he holds them long enough for a picture, other times it's just amusement for Mom and I. I thought it would be funny to make it look like he was talking on his imaginary phone. Observe:

Gaming

Mom took this cute picture while I helped Henry play his first computer games. We played some Colonization and had a great time! But seriously, he's sure gaining a lot of strength in his neck and becoming more and more alert. Very exciting developments!

Smile

So I don't know if you can tell or not, but this is the first picture I've gotten where Henry is smiling at least a little. The best time to catch him smiling is right when he starts dreaming. It makes me wonder what he could be dreaming about that makes him so happy...

Cookout

On Sunday, we had lunch at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He was so quiet while we ate, but after lunch he got pretty fussy. We'll start with the calm picture first. I have really enjoyed watching Henry grow, but I never want to forget how small and dependent he is as a new born. This picture captures that for me as he holds on to Mom's finger.

Now to the fussiness... I thought it would be funny to imitate him (or was he imitating me? :)
